We are happy to now offer three prints from his exclusive exhibition for the launch of The Skirt Chronicles in our online shop. Each print measures 97 cm x 75 cm. If you are interested in framing options as well please contact us.

On September 16th, 2016, Tim Elkaïm photographed the cover of The Skirt Chronicles’ first volume. Presenting an item of clothing, the skirt, as well as its movement with and against the body was the guiding light for these photographs. Elkaïm’s direction found the model practicing simple movements with minute yet specific adjustments, creating an interaction when sitting on a chair or lying on the floor. The result is a modern way of posing, of working the body into the frame.

Made in the evening with loud music playing, the model had to be reminded to keep her pose. Staying still in front of Tim’s steady yet incisive camera, the skirt fits into his tightly framed photographs. The result was more than one cover photo; we chose the one telling best the story of Volume I, however, could not resist presenting more.
